Locomotion
I took this picture in Skagway, Alaska. Using Photoshop, I made the background black and white and blurred it to give the train extra motion. The overall effect is that the train looks more powerful as it moves into the foreground.
Pike Street
I took this picture in Seattle. The flowers hanging on the side of the buildings along Pike Street caught my attention. I used Photoshop to convert the background to black and white so that the flowers would come out even more.
Beginnings
I took this photograph on the island of Oahu. This new pineapple was in a field on the side of the road. By keeping it in color along with its leaves, it stands out against its backdrop.
